The United Way Day of Caring is a day set aside when local business people volunteer to work in United Way Member Agencies for a day or part of a day to learn more about the agencies they support with their United Way contributions. This year the Day of Caring has been scheduled for September 20. The agencies benefit by meeting new people in the community and gratefully accept the help as much needed projects get accomplished.

Projects being done for the American Red Cross of Cortland County this year:

  • cleaning manikins
  • doing laundry for the first aid boxes
  • rearranging office furniture
